Self Assessment and Self Tutoring

Here is a great way to get better at math while you are online.

Go to the Khan Academy website and create an account. Its free and all you need is a Gmail or Facebook account.

Once you've created an account, you can go to the practice section and work your way through the problems. Its set up from easy to hard and any time you have trouble in one section you will be sent to watch a short video and then you can go back and try it again, till you can master it.

To get started go to the flowchart and pick a section you want to work through. There are separate sections for Algebra and Geometry. As you progress through the chart, you gain points and you can view how well you are doing (under Vital Statistics). Each time you go back, you simply log in and start where you left off.

If you need any help see me in school and I will set you up.

You can either do this by yourself or send me an email here at MathatITC@gmail.com and I will send you a student ID number. This way I can keep track of your progress, and its a nice way to gain some EXTRA CREDIT for math class. My coach ID is mathatITC@gmail.com.

Note: Extra Credit will only be awarded if I am able to follow your progress online, so send me your email that you used to create your account.
