Math School Supplies

Its never too early to shop for supplies for September! Here are a list of things you will need to be successful in all your math classes:

A large one subject spiral bound NOTEBOOK for your class notes. (This is very important and should be with you daily in class.)
Loose leaf paper to do assignments and homework to turn in
3 ring binder to hold paper
Folder to place assignments, homework etc
Pencils, pens, sharpener and erasers
Ruler
Basic 4 function calculator ( scientific or graphing is better but not necessary)
All these you can find in stores.

This one you can't:  A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!  :)

Math at OCC

A lot of our students head over to OCC for college. Many of you end up taking remedial math classes before you are ready for a college math class.

Click here to see what OCC wants you to know before you arrive on campus. This summer might be a good time to look over their review sheets especially if you are a junior or senior.

Math And Jobs Training

A lot of times students don't understand why math is so important. Watch this video of a student who struggled in math class and realized its importance in other choices he wanted to make.

Hopefully at ITC you will find a career you like and use the math you learn in class to help you later on.

Summer 2011 Regents Schedule

The Integrated Algebra and Geometry Regents will be given on Wednesday August 17th at 8:30am.

Last Full Week

This is the last full week of school before the Regents exams. Please take this time to check out some of the links on the right to help you in your review as you study to pass your exams.

Some important tips to doing well:

Do not leave any questions blank. Fill in every section to get some partial credit.
Show all your work. Extra work does not hurt.
Answer all the multiple choice questions.
Eliminate some choices before you make a guess.
If you cant solve the problem then use the answers and work backwards.
Learn to use your graphing calculator well.
Memorize the formulas that are not given on the formula sheet.
